Lennox Head Cultural Centre

Opening after a $2.58 million upgrade in 2020, Lennox Head Cultural Centre in Lennox Head, NSW, is an institution in the Byron Bay-Ballina region. Part of the multimillion dollar upgrade involved the installation of a new aluminium cladding, and of course Mitsubishi ALPOLIC™ NC was up to the task.

Mitsubishi ALPOLIC™ NC/A1 is a fire-safe, fully compliant, aluminium composite cladding composed of a non-combustible mineral core containing zero polyethylene. With the largest selection of colours and finishes on the market, it could easily match the building’s aesthetic, and, due to the superb Lumiflon FEVE paint technology, the cladding is exceptionally resistant to weathering, UV radiation, corrosion and colour fading.

Along with its extensive local and international fire testing that goes above and beyond the required standard, ALPOLIC™ NC/A1 offers exceptional durability, the ability to colour match and superior flatness (no oil canning). It also comes with an industry-leading 20-year full cover manufacturer’s warranty which includes materials, labour and rectification costs. It requires no cleaning to maintain the warranty which is a huge cost saving to the building owners.

ALPOLIC™ has an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) produced by GECA, validating its status as an efficient cladding material, reducing not only maintenance costs and resources, but also building energy consumption.
